just over in Kentucky, between Duval, the
Administration candidate, and Hobson, the
half-Radical and half-indefinite candidate,
the former Was elected by a majority, lacking
six, of thirty eight thousand. The entire
vote cast—said to be much the largest ever
polled in the Stato —was one hundred and
fifty-four thousand and fourteen.

States steamer Wateree at their disposal for

since, rode out to the “ Crater,” where the
contractors are disinterring and re-burying
the remains of Federal soldiers, thus speaks

the tax is three cents per pound on cotton,
about fifteen dollars per bale—we can af

employed in an iron Foundry, who, in pouting
melted iron into a flask that Was damp and wet,
caused an explosion. The melted iron was thrown
around and on him in a perfect shower, and be
was burnt dreadfully. The following certificate
was given to me by him about eight weeks after
the aceident.

last; my burns liealed, but I had a running sore
