i aptain John A. Cobb, the urbane
judge of tbe court of ordinary, has _
goou many surprises thrown his way,
but the limit came recently when a col

license.
Judge Cobb knew tbe negro to be
married already, having but recently
committed “tho wifoof his bosom” to
the insano asylum.
This point was sprung upon tho
black trouble hunter.
“Why ofcourso I have a wife in tbe
asylum” ho replied “hat I hear she can
never recover and will die there, prob

mat tying again now. She never can

Ho left tho office without tho new li-

asylum served as a divorce from his
damaged helpmeet.
