This is an invitation to submit
a bid to Pickens County for the
2022 LMIG SPLOST STREET
REHABILITATION PROJECT
(including Grandview Road
FDR, Cove Road patching and
Old Grandview Road resurfac
ing) as indicated herein. Sealed
bids will be received at the office
of the Chairman (in Pickens
County Administration Building
at the above address) up to 1:30
p.m., March 21,2022 at which
time they will be opened and
publicly read.
Scope of Work:
This project will be funded
with 2022 LMIG and SPLOST
funds. Construction includes
Grandview Road Full Depth
Reclamation (FDR) with asphalt
overlay and shoulder rebuilding,
Cove Road patching and Old
Grandview Road resurfacing in
Pickens County. The work will
include approximately 70,000
SY of FDR and 6,250 tons of as
phalt and paving (Grandview),
6,440 tons of asphalt patching
with milling (Cove Road), and
1930 tons of asphalt paving (Old
Grandview Road). Cove Road
patching includes repairs on
Bent Tree Drive and High Knoll
Road near intersection with
Cove Road. Paint striping and
manhole/valve box adjustments
as necessary are specified for
all reconstructed pavement,
overlay and patched areas. All
work shall conform to the Geor
gia Department of Transporta
tion's (GDOT) Standard
Specifications Construction of
Transportation Systems, 2021
Edition; GDOT’s Supplemental
Specifications Construction of
Transportation Systems, 2021;
and all applicable GDOT Stan
dards and Details; and other
contract requirements, specifi
cations and general conditions.
Project work will be required to
begin within 60 calendar days of
the Notice to Proceed and be
substantially complete within
120 calendar days. All punch-list
items will be required to be com
plete within 30 days of the Final
Inspection.
Eligible bidders and subcon
tractors shall be licensed Con
tractors in the State of Georgia
meeting all applicable insurance
and bonding requirements as
stipulated in the separate In
structions to Bidders and Con
tract Documents. Verifying
documents for the prime con
tractor/bidder will be required
prior to contract award, and for
all subcontractors prior begin
ning work.

ered along with all required doc
uments and be returned in a
sealed envelope or container
marked, “SEALED BID for 2022
LMIG SPLOST Street Rehabili
tation Project” on the outside.
Bids may not be considered un
less so received.
All contractors must comply with
the provisions of O.C.G.A. Sec.
13-10-91, and must register and
participate in the federal work
authorization program (also
known as E-Verify
(www.uscis.gov/everify)). A con
tractor must submit the required
affidavit BEFORE ANY PRO
POSAL IS CONSIDERED. A
form affidavit shall be provided
with the proposal package.
Pickens County provides equal

LMIG SPLOST Countywide
Paving Project” on the outside.
Bids may not be considered un
less so received.
All contractors must comply
with the provisions of O.C.G.A.
Sec. 13-10-91, and must regis
ter and participate in the federal
work authorization program
(also known as E-Verify
(www.uscis.gov/everify)). A con
tractor must submit the required
affidavit BEFORE ANY PRO
POSAL IS CONSIDERED. A
form affidavit shall be provided
with the proposal package.
