The Bay Restaurant on Plant avenue
near Miller’s warf on the canal, has
opened up in fine style, with Sir. Jim
Miller in charge. Miller proposes to
run a first-class place, and we wish him
success. A good restaurant will fill a
long felt want in Waycross. Mr. Miller’s
ad. will appear in these columns later.
Mr. and Mrs. Kettcrer Lose Tlieir
Infant.
The infant child of Mr. Kettcrer, who
lives on the corner of Freeman and Pond
streets, died hist night. The baby was
three months old and died of cholera
infantum. The funeral will take place
at Lott cemetery this afternoon. The
Herald sympathizes with the bereaved
parents.

assembly of the Democratic societies of
Pennsylvania was called to order in their
Fifth annual convention at 10:30 a. m.,
by Pre sident Clianucey F. Black.

venson when ho entered the hall.
The town has been alive from earliest
dawn with bands and arriving delegates.
Two thousand people filled the hall at

Black immediately delivered an admira
ble address, which was punctuated with
thundering applause.
