nell, aged 45 was shot and killed by
his IS year old son at Poctallgo, in an
adjotnntg county at noon today.
A quarrel between the two was
renewed at the dinner table when the
son suddenly rushed into and adjoin
ing room and returning with a pistol
opened fire on his parent.
The coroner's Jury held tho boy on
the charge of murder.

PASSES AWAY
Atlanta, Oa. Oct 24.—W. J. Hud-
son, /ptlperintendent of the Confeder
ate Soldiers’ home In Ormewood park,
was killed Sunday evening by falling
or jumping from a moving Lakewood
car near the corner of Washington
street and Woodward avenue. Death
did not result Instantly, but came
several hours later at the Atlanta hos
pital, where he was rushed Immedi
ately following the accident, his skull
having been fractured by the fall.
Mr. Hudsoa was going from town
on the Lakewood car just about 6
o'clock and wanting to get off at
Woodward avenue, he spoke to ths
conductor about It several times. The
car was crowded, and when it neared
the corner Mr. Hudson, who was 77
years old, made his way to the rear
platform.
Witnesses standing .there say that
he jumped from the moving car as it
was slowing down for tbe corner, the
momentum throwing him on his head
and knocking him unconscious. An
ambulance rushed him to the hospital
In a vatu effort to save his life.
