OBITUARY
IN LOVING MEMORY.
On last Friday evening our lit
tle ville was shocked and every
heart throbbed with grief, on
learning of the sudden death of
little Carl Tyler, the son of Mr.
and Mrs. G. W, Tyler. He was
going to school to Mrs. Frank Mc-
Elhenney and Thursday night
prepared his lessons for the next
day but that morning wasn't feel
ing well and didn’t attend school.
At noon he went to the home of
his brother, Mr, Alonzo Tyler,
and joincd the little baby in play
for oniy a short time. Heran to
Mrs, Tylerand asked her to take
him, that he was dying. "All that
loving hands could do was done
but to no avail, he lived only two
hours. They went in haste for a
doctor but he was dead before he
reached there. During the two
hours he offered prayer to God to
have mercy on him, also asked his
father to pray. Although small,
he loved his Bible and on Thurs
day wmight wrote the following
verse for school: ““Cast thy bread
upon the waters for thou shalt find
it after many days.” His vacant
seat at school caused sadness to
both teacher and playmates on
Monday.
The strongest point in his
character was his tender love for
his parents. It was touchingly
beautiful; his devotion to his
mother, and at her feet was the
shrine where he poured out the
richest and choicest stores of his
love. The writer has ofien seen
his little face light up with a smile,
almost seraphic as he would en
twine those little arms around
mama’s neck and whisper love to
her. When papa was away he al
ways anxiously awaited his coming
and met him with a smile, the
memory or which will never be
forgotten. Mother, father, sis
ters and brothers. remember that
little Carl is in that blessed land
of rest, basking in the love of his
dear Saviour.
A large concourse of friendsand
relatives gathered at the family
cemetery at Fellowship where the
last sad burial rites were perform
ed. Rev. Isaac Niblett made
touching appeals to the living to
follow the Saviour and on the
resurrection day meet little Carl
again, where all tears are wiped
away. When the grave was clos
ed, tearfully the loved ones left
him with a sad farewell, leaving
him in his lonely home to dwell,
May they be comforted to know
that God does all things well, and
angels will watch his peaceful
slumbers and one day they will
meet him in that home where Je
sus has gone to prepare.
One night last week while read
ing his Bible he asked his papa
didn’t he never pray. May this one
question sink deep into the hearts
of the father and may he realize
that God had a purpose in him
asking this question, The flow
ers placed on the casket by his
playmates showed that they were
fond of him in life. Carl was
born in the year 1896, July 24, and
died on Nov. 25th, aged 9 years,
4 months and 1 day.
The bright-eyed darling, the
light of this home, will always
watch and beckon his loved ones
to come home. May He who
knew sorrows and was acquainted
with grief, whisper peace to every
heart bowed beneath the stroke
of this sad affliction, and may all
wait and murmer not, and meet
little Carl on the happy golden
shore some sweetday.,
ONE WHO LOVED HIM,
Eula, Ga,, Nov, 29,.'04.
CHILDREN'S MANY MISFORTUNES,
In the ages of children up to
twelve years, their misfortunes,
from baby's prickly heat to the
boy's open sore, are many. Few
parents realize the therapeutic
value of sulphur for skin diseascs
and impure blood.
Hancock's Liquid Sulphur, Na
ture’s Greatest Germicide, is in
digspensable in a home where are
children—it may may be taken in
ternally or applied direct to the
affected parts.
Here is the opinion of Mr, H.
J. Lamar, Vineville, Macon, Ga.
We used your Liguid Sulphur on
our one year old baby, who suf
fered intensely from prickly heat
over her entire body. A half doz
en applications in two days entire
ly relieved her and she slept
soundly. Youshould recommend
Liquid Sulphur strongly to moth
ers. It will prove a blessing to.
every family with small children..
The Hancock Liquid Sulphur
Co., Baltimore, Md., send free its
booklet on sulphur.
The Christmas Delineator.
The December Delineator, with
its message of good cheer and
helpfulness will be welcomed in
every home. The fashion pages
are unusually attractive, illustrat
ing and describing the very latest
modes in a way to make their con
struction during the busy festive
season a pleasure instead of a task
and the literary and pictorial fea
tures are of rare excellence. A se
lection of Love Songs from the
Wagner Operas, rendered inte
linglish by Richard de Gallienne
and beautifully illustrated in colors
by J. C. Leyendecker, occupies a
prominent place, and a chapterin
the Composers’ Series, relating the
Romance of Wagner and Cosima,
is an interesting supplement to the
lyrics. A very clever paper en
title p*“l'he Court Circles of the
Republic,” describes some unique
phases of Washington social life
is from an unnamed contributor,
who is said to write from the in
ner circles of society. There are
short stories from the pens of
Hopkinson Smith, Robert Grant,
Alice Brown, Mary Stewart Cut
ting and Elmore Elliott Peake, and
such interesting writers as Julia
Magruder, L. Frank Baum, and
Grace MacGowan Cook hold the
attention of the children. Many
Christmas suggestions are givem
in needlework and the Cookery
pages are redolent of the Christ.
mas feast. In addition, there are
the regular departments of the
magazine, with many special
articles on topics relating to wo
man’s interests within and with
outthe home.
