We, the Grand Jury, as * oody,
1 ave inspected the jail and court
foure. We find the necessary repairs
for the safe keeping of the prisoners
has been made, but we find the win
dows too close and not enough ven
tilated for the health and comfort
of the prisoners confined thefein'.
We recommend the necessary chasge
be made. We also find that the wa
tiv works axe not not working and
Hiat there is not any water in the
jail. We recommend that said water
works be kept dn good condition and
>\ater furnished the jaii and court
house at all times.
—We further fid that there aire
S .aks in the walls of Ordinary’s and
Clerk’s offices and we recommend
that repairs, be made as soon as pos
sible .
We find a vacancy in the office of

ommend that S. G. Haggard be ap
pointed to fill this vacancy.

Bailiffs be paid $2.00 per day for
their services and that the Foreman
