MADISON COUNTY CLUB FAIR
NOVEMBER 17
We hope to have an exhibit, from
every club member in the county at
the fair on Saturday, November 17.
at Danielsville. Thu clubs in the
county this year compose only of
the following, Pig Club, Corn Ciub,
and Poultry Club. There are 110
enrolled in the.se three clubs, and we
have been fortunate enough to secure
attractive, prized for the winners.
There will be approximately $90.00
awarded that day in prizes to the
winners in the different clubs. It is
worth while for every member to ex
hibit what he or she ha? grown

BASKET BALL TOURNAMENT
A committee appointed hv County
Supt. Roy C/. David, consisting <
Profs. O. G. Lancaster, represent
ing Comer High School, O. G. Stev
ens, Madison County High School,
Di, L. Braryan of Bond Academy,
T. J. Brown of Ila, and H. P. Davis
of Colbert met in the Superintend •
cm’s off ce, Saturday Oct. 20th,and
laid the foundation for a Madison
County Basket ts*il Association and
decided to promote a county basket
ball tournament r,o be heid in Dan
ieisville during the .latter part of
February, 1921.
Mr, Lancaster as chairman of
the committee and with the consent
of the other members appointed Mr.
C. G. Stevens .-treasurer and Mr. H.
P. Davis, seedetarrf. It wan also de
cided that Mr. Stevens with the as
sistance of the other members of
the committee should make the prop
er arrangements for taking care of
the competing teams .and for hand
ling the crowd Which is expected to
attend, and that Mr. Davis should
! be publicity director.
Of the more important regulations
under which the tournament will be
lifeld, thfe following were discussed
and adopted by the committee.
I. The officials shall be neut*- '
competent and nor. residents of Mad
ison County..
11. The playing court shall be
eighty-one (81) feet in length -by
foifcy; t/l&l f£ct':in' width. -
Ilf . The players'of participating
teams must "be bona fide students
of* the school they represent; i.e.,
they must live attended school reg
ularly for not less than (6) weeks
during the scholastic veaT 1923-24,
and previous to the time of the tour
nament, and they must not have at
tended any gcheol other than the one
they represent, .during the scholastic
year 1=923-24.
_ They must bn doing passing work
in at least three 13) major subjects.
TV. A trophy is to be given to the
| team winning the championship and

; The fact that a tournament is go
ing to be held need not after the reg
ular playing schedule of county teams
They may or may not play each other
since no games, except those played
in the tournament, will have any
bearing on the county chairmanship.

deciding the County Championship
will prove most satisfactory and rc
