We were not speaking of anyone
blowing a whistle, boys, bat of those
naughty boys who disgraced their
mothers by whooping, shouting and
ottering a shrill whistle with the
mouth and fingers that pierces the
ear and almost deafens a body. We
know the names of several, and won hi
advise their mother^ in future to keep
them at homo or by their side. If

such .boys should either, bohavo them

That Brick Kuterprine.
Mr. Daniels informs us thnt he has
abandoned his brick project at Myers
Landing, having fonud that the clay
at that point iB thoroughly impreg
nated with lime, which renders it un
fit for brick. Those mentioned by us
lost week as Laving been made there
twenty-fivo years ago were from a
thin strata near tbe surface, and not
enough to warrant tbe erection of
works of sufficient capacity to Bupply
onr increasing demands. We trust
the enterprise will not be abandoned
entirely, os there are other places in
reach that we know are free from lime
—on the Little Satilla, for instance.
