announce the engagement of
their daughter, Miss Linda
Joanne Ingram, to Thomas
Frank Leonard, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Leonard, Jr.
The wedding is set for
August 19 at Perry United
Methodist Church at 7:30
P.M.
Miss Ingram is the
granddaughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Benson of
Unadilla and the late Mr.
and Mrs. Dave Ingram of
Macon. She is a graduate of
Perry High School and is
Perry Business Women Meet At Ochlahatchee
The Perry Business
Women's Club held their
monthly meeting on August
10 at Ochlahatchee
Clubhouse.
The dining tables were
beautifully decorated with
arrangements of summer
flowers.
After completion of the
business meeting the
program committee had

employed by Pabst Brewing
Company.

Elizabeth Anne, born at the

Hospital on August 12. Mrs.

13. Mrs. Mims is the former
Rutha Mae Woodley of
Houston County.

of a son, Michael Hayward,
born at the Houston County
Hospital on Ausut 8. Mrs.
Jones is the former Kay
Baker of Perry.

Mr. and Mrs. David Davis
of 1209 Charles Drive, Perry
announce the birth of twin
girls, Sylvia Michelle and
September 14 and as
vacations will be over, lets
all attend.

Homemakers
Hold Meeting
The Elko-Henderson
Homemakers Club met
Wednesday, August 9th at
the home of Mrs. C. J.
Norman.
Mrs. Ellen Klouda, club
president, presided over the
meeting which was opened
with the pledge to the Flag,
after which Mrs. Clifford
Lewis gave the devotional.
A very informative
demonstration was given by
Mrs. Patterson, nurse from
Perry Houston County
Hospital, on emergency
heart-lung resusitation.
After the demonstration
the business meeting was
held and plans made for
achievement day.
At the close of the meeting,
delicious refreshments were
served by Mrs Norman and
the co-hostess, Mrs. Paul
Davis to the 12 members
present.
The next meeting will be
Sept. 13th at the home of
Mrs. C. E. Stivens.

the Peach County Hospital
on August 3, 1972.
Mrs. Davis is the former
Jackie Duffell of Perry.
Grandparents are Mr. and
Mrs. Jack W. Duffell and the
late Mr. and Mrs. Davis.

Plan Activities
At Southwestern
Bill Youngblood of Perry,
spent the Sunday, August
13th, in Americus planning
student activities for Fall
Quarter at Georgia South
western College.
The Student Union Board
of GaSwC conducted an all
day workshop for its in
coming members, to help
them in planning for cultural
entertainment for the
student body and for offering
opportunities to all students
to participate in campus
programs and projects.
The workshop was con
ducted by Michael D.
Blachly, Assistant Director
of University Center
Programs at the University
of Tennessee, and Barry
Jenkins, SUB advisor.

Grant and son David
returned last week from
Mantica, Cal. where Dr.
Grant had served two years
in the U.S. Army. They left
Sunday to make their home
in Calhoun, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Parker
and sons vacationed at
Ormond Beach, Fla. last
week.

attended a convention in San

tly. On their return trip, they
were met in New Orleans,
La. by their duaghter, Mrs.
Billy Howard, Mr. Howard
and family. After a few days
of touring in New Orleans,
Mr. and Mrs. Tabor returned
to Laurel, Miss, for a visit
with Mr. and Mrs. Howard
before coming to Perry.
Jeff and Jeline Knighton of
Albany visited Mr. and Mrs.
Larry Walker and family
last week. Lawrence and
Wendy returned to Albany
with them for several days

returned home after a visit

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hooks of Henderson sailed from Miami last week for a 7*
day cruise aboard the M-S Skyward. They visited the islands of Haiti, Puerto
Rico, St. Thomas and the Bahamas.

Planned Here Sept. 23
The Rev. and Mrs. J. J.
Morrow of Lake Joy Road,
Perry, Ga. announce the
engagement of their
daughter Randa Morrow to
the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
Parker, Willard Parker, of
Rt. 1 Perry, Georgia.
The bride-elect graduated
from Perry High School and
attended Tift College,
Forsyth one year. She is now
employed at the Kellwood
Company in Perry.
The groom-elect
graduated from Perry High
School, and will leave for the
U.S. Army in October. He
will be stationed at Fort
Jackson.
Place of the wedding will
be Houston Lake Baptist
Church, No invitations will
be sent. All friends and
relatives are invited. Date of
the wedding is September 23,
