The Perry Lions were
entertained by Ernest
Faulkner Eubanks of
Perry at their last
regular meeting.
Eubanks and his wife,
Lillie Mae, moved to
Perry from Mobile, Ala.,
last year and reside at
1210 Smoak Avenue.
Mr. Eubanks'
credentials to talk of old
times to the club are very
impressive. Members of
the club reported that
Eubanks possessed the
experience and ability to
keep them spellbound
during the whole
program.
The program was one
of questions by Lion
President Julius Turner

Eubanks took the group
back to his birthplace and
proceeded down through
history to his young adult
home in Dodge County,
Georgia. He recalled that
he was born September
10, 1893 in Edgefield,
Collier's Township, South
Carolina. He related
about his childhood,
living in a two-room
board home with mud
and stick fireplaces and
hardship, but a happy life
there.

Eubanks was ordained
a Baptist Deacon in the
Friendship Baptist

some 60 years ago. His
peers, who know him,
readily proclaim his
genuine faith, obedience,
and trust in God. This is
proven by his concern
and love for everyone
throughout his life.
Mr. Eubanks is
presently writing his
memoirs. The club
members decided to have
him return at a later date
and tell a little more
about the "Old Times".
Mr. Eubanks is the
