Senator H. H. Perry of the thirty-
third, was down from Gainesville and
made himself sure of comfortable quar
ters during the coming session. As a
legislator of experience he is slated to
do effective service in the upper cham

The Horse Swappers Convention met
here last week, and there were many
on hand to take part in the delibera
tions of the body. There were swaps
and trades in abundance, and,the swap
pers had a good time generally. At the
old fair grounds the swappers made
headquarters, and there they held their
races.
An unusual interest is manifested in
the appearanco here at Hunt's Opera
House, on Oct. 20th of the Brennan-
Sale Company. This company is a de
cided novelty and has drawn packed
houses in other cities. Refined comedy
has always taken well here and a pack
ed bouse is expected. Prices, 25, 50,
