GETTING READY
.Every expectant mother has
a trying ordeal to face. If she does not
get ready for it,
there is no telling
wliat may happen.
Child-birth is full
of uncertainties if
Nature is not given proper assistance.
Mother’s Friend
is the best help you can use at this time.
It is a liniment, and when regularly ap
plied several months before baby comes,
it makes the advent easy and nearly pain
less. It relieves and prevents ‘ 4 morning
sickness.” relaxes the overstrained mus
cles, removes the distended feeling, short
ens labor, makes recovery rapid and cer
tain without any dangerous after-effects.
Mother’s Friend is good for only one
purpose, viz.: to relieve motherhood of
danger and pain.

Vegetarians and Meat Eaters.
A careful examination of the
hearts of the vegetarian and the
meat eater show that the number
of beats to the former are fifty-
eight to the minute and of the
latter seven tv-two. In twenty-
four hours this means a difference
of 20,000 beats. From this it is
concluded that in the summer time
the vegetarian has the advantage
for he can keep cooler and m bet
ter health under the reduced num
ber of heart beats. *But in a cold
climate or in our own winters, the
heat generated by such slow heart
beats would hardly be sufficient
to make life strong and resisting
enough. The true verdict that one
must reach is that the vegetarmn
is bettor off in the summer and
meat eater stronger in winter.—

Textile Schools.
We are glad to learn that there
will probably be no difficulty in
raising the $10,000 which'must be
subscribed to make available the
$10,000 appropriated by the state
for the establishment of a textile
school as a department of the
State School of Technology.
There is therefore a good prospect
that the textile school will be
open in a few months and that be
fore long we shall begin to receive
practical benefits of .its work.
It seems certain that Georgia
will have the, first textile school
in the south, but it is quite as cer
tain that schdrols of this kind will
be established ia other southern
states at no distant day.—Atlan
