The twelve year old son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. D. Reed died last Saturday and
was buried at Poplar spring’s at 3 p. m.

Mr. Daniel Scofield, a native of Eng
land, was given his naturalization pa
pers Thursday after taking the oath of
allegiance to his adopted Country. He
will make a good citizen.
Revival services will begin at the

J. Ij. White, of the First Baptist church
of Macon.
Mr. Abner D. McMillan and Miss
Maggie May Norwood of Atlanta,
were married here by Judge A. G. Dor
sey Wednesday afternoon. It was a
runaway match.
The five months old infant of Mr.
and Mrs. John T. Boyd died Monday
afternoon and was buried Tuesday at
Alta Vista cemetery, Rev. W. F. Quil-
lian officiating.
Mr. John R. Brown left, yesterday
for Charlotte with his new fall sam
ples of shoes and will at once start out
in his territory taking orders for In-
man, 8mith & Co.
Mr. J.G. Hynds, general manager of
Inman, Smith & Co.’s shoe factory left
Wednesday for Texas, accompanied by
his son, George. The latter will sell
shoes throughout Texas, and Mr.
Hynds goes to initiate him into the
business. He will be absent two or
three weeks.
