county. They are the White Wine

in the cotton factory, to be built
near Fitzgerald.
Mr. and Mrs. James Hill are now
comfortably domiciled at the home
of Mrs. S. J. Barnett, corner-Beach

We regret to chronicle the death
of Mv. John Mobley’s baby girl, aged
three years, which occurred Monday
last.. May the Master comfort the
bereaved parents.

college in Columbus, Ga„ instead of
Senoia, and left Sunday for that
place.
One of Billy Fletcher’s neighbors
says he will make S5 bushels of corn
per acre on the ten acres near his
residence. We believe he will got
forty.
Rumors should not be given much

litical year they should be allowed
to go in at one ear and out at the
other.
Messrs, Coleman & Mixon have
about completed their commodious
gin house on West Fifth street, and
will be ready for the fleecy when it
comes in.
Mr.Jas. *W. Huggins has taken
Mr. W. D. Burke’s place as mail
agent between Ocilla and Abbeville.
Mr. Burke has been transferred to
Hawkinsville.
Miss Ola Paulk, daughter of Mr.
Thomas I’aulk, of Coffee county,
who has been visiting Miss Bertha
Paulk since yearly meeting.returned
home Monday.
Judge J. B. Clements, ’Squire
Marcus Luke and Mr. J. B. D.Paulk,
of the county capital, were in Ocilla
Tuesday, to the gratification ot their
many friends here.
The -turpentine still -df Taylor,
Floyd & Co., three -miles south of
Lax, in Coffee ooimty, was destroyed
by fire on Friday of last week, .Less.

Mr. John D. Paulk has taken
charge of Mr. M. J. Patflk’s grist
mill and gin, formerly owned by
•Elder -J. A. Sutton, and will be
ready to-gin when called on.
Two of Mr. Dan Griffin’s Children
were reported dangerously ill the
first of the week. Mr. Griffin lives
a ’few miles from Mt. Par on. We
hope the little ones are bettor ere
this.

The St. Simons party returned to
Irwinville Saturday, and all report
a delightful trip. One pleasant fea¬
ture was a trip to Fernandina,
Fla. ’Squire Luke ..gained twelve
pounds on the trip, and that was
more than he expected or wanted.
