IN SOCIAL BLAZE
Dances and Hops a Plenty on
Commencement Program,
Beginning June 7.
Tech men and their friends are
eagerly awaiting the opening of com
mencement week on Friday. June ~
Social features will predominate this
year and dances and hops given by the
several class and social organizations
will attract a number of the younger
society girls of At anta.
The first exercises, the dedication of
the ne-e Y M. C A building Friday
night, will be followed by a dance
given by the "Bullfrog” duh at Se
gadlo's hall.
Sermon by Augusta Man.
Dr. M. Ashby Jones, of Augusta, will
deliver the baccalaureate sermon Sun
day morning at the North Avenue
Presbyterian church Tech men will
attend in a body, marching from the
campus to the church.
The sophomore german will he held
at I<l o'clock Monday morning In the
Crystal Palace at the school, and on
the same night the senior dance will be
held at Taft nail.
All the formalities of delivering sen
ior class insignia tn the juniors will
be held Tuesday morning in the V M
C. A building Shops and class rooms
•will he open for inspection during the
afternoon.
The junior "prom” and junior dance
■will take place Tuesday night, the
dance in the Crystal Palace following
the “prom."
Judge Pritchard to Speak.
On Wednesday the seniors will he
given their diplomas at the Grand op
era house. The address of the day will
be delivered by Judge Jeter C. Pritch
ard, of Asheville, N. C. Tht seniors
will be the guests of the alumni at a
luncheon at 1 o’clock.
The Pan-Hellenic dance In Taft hall
Wednesday night will be the closing of
the social side of commencement and
will b? the largest attended of all the
commencement affairs.

FORMER ATLANTA WOMAN
IS HURT BY FALLIN MACON
MACON, GA., May 29.—Mrs. Jack
Kemme, daughter of C. B. Willingham,
and one of the popular society'women
of Macon, who until a few months ago
resided in Atlanta, was severely injured
internally when she fell headforemost
to the sidewalk in alighting from her
automobile. Mrs. Kemme weighs 200
pounds and the fall was therefore &11

treatment at the Macon hospital.
