Friday night at Segadlo's hall the
younger set of society will enjoy an
informal dance. These dances are al
ways attended by a large number of
belles and beaux and have been the
most popular form of entertainment
with the younger set this summer.

Thursday evening at the Bon Air
Mrs. William Witt and Mrs. A. B.
Collier were hostesses at a very en
joyable euchre party. Their guests
were limited to the guests of the Bon
Air, and they were assisted In enter
taining by Mr. and Mrs. B. 8. Drake.
The prizes were n Dresden chiffon
scarf, a gentleman's pocketbook and
a new song, and at the conclusion of
the game delicious refreshments were
served.
MISSES BROWN ENTERTAIN.
This week's meeting of the North
Bide Club, of Decatur, was held at the
home of Misses Ina and Gertrude
Brown. Progressive games were played,
at the conclusion of which a course
luncheon was served.
The first prise was won by Miss
Matthews, and was a dainty powder
box.
Mrs. Sherrard Kennedy won the con
solation, a lace centerpiece.

of lilies of the valley and ewansonla
blossoms.
After the church ceremony, a buffet
supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter D. Lamar was attended by
many of the guests, the evening closing
with A dance at the Log Cabin Club.

Miss Cornelia Rebecca Coffee and
Dr. Thomas Gould Cunningham were
married Thursday evening at 8:10
o'clock, at the home of the bride’s
mother, Mrs. Nannie C. Coffee, at De
catur, Ga.
The ceremony, which was performed
by Rev. Dr, Patton, was witnessed by
the relatives and Intimate friends of
the bridal couple.
The bride's gown was a beautiful
creation of white messallne silk
trimmed In duchesse lace, and made
princesse fashion. Her bouquet was of
white carnations. Mrs. Coffee wore nn
attractive toilette of black relieved with
white lace.
The |iome was profusely decorated
with potted plants and cut flowers.
After nn elaborate buffet supper Dr.
and Mrs. Cunningham left on the mid
night train for n visit to Eastern cities.
The bride's handsome golng-away
gown was of blue silk with lingerie
waist, and hat en suite.

presentation of a medal to the teacher

Hightower were united In marriage to
Messrs. Rodger and Luther Stallings,
Rev. E. H. McGehee, pastor of
the Methodist church, performed the
ceremony. -
The altar and choir rails were dec
orated with ferns and pot plants.
Long bsfore the hour for the cere
mony the auditorium of the • church
was fllted to Its utmost capacity by the
Invited friends of the families.
The bridal party entered the church
to the strains of Lohengrin’s wedding
march, played by Miss Blanche Davis
on the piano, assisted by I.llss Phlll-
pena Gardiner, of Dallas, Texas, and
Mr. E. J. Blackshear, of this city, on
violins.
The ushers, Messrs. J. M. Finn, S.

Grimes, were preceded to the altar
by the little flower girls. Misses Mar
garet Pritchett and Martha Kate Rentz,
each bearing baskets of beautiful roses.

After the ceremony Mrs. T. H. Smith

last notes died away Mendelssohn's
march was played, to the strains
which the party left the church, and
entering carriages were driven to the
IV. and T. depot, where the newly
wedded couples took the train for
Wrightsvllle Beach, N. C., where the
honeymoon will be spent.
Both the young ladles were graduates
of the Dublin public school. Miss
Tommie Lee was also a graduate of
Wesleyan Female College, of Macon,
nnd Miss Maude graduated from Cox
College, of College Park.
After August 10 they will be at home
to their friends In Dublin on Academy
street.
