Jamie Lee Janusz And
Brenton D. Roberts Marry
At a private ceremony in Ra
leigh, NC, Jamie Lee Janusz and
Brenton David Roberts were unit
ed in marriage Monday Nov. 19,
2007.
The bride is the daughter of Ken
neth Janusz, formerly of Holly
Springs, NC, and the granddaugh
ter of Bernadine Janusz, Morgan-
ville, NJ, and the late Mr. Janusz.
Miss Janusz is a 2005 graduate
of Middle Creek High School,
attends Wake Technical College
and is employed with the Jackson
County School System.
The groom is the son of David
and Leigh Roberts, Raleigh, NC,
and the grandson of JoAnn Crum
ley, Maysville, and the late Bryant
Crumley; Evelyn Tullis Pearson,
Hoschton; and Billy Roberts,
Braselton.
Mr. Roberts is a 2005 graduate
of Middle Creek High School,
attended Wake Technical Col
lege and is employed with Snider
Tire.
The newlyweds make their home
in Commerce. A formal ceremony
is scheduled for the fall.
Enjoy 'Toddler Time'
Annika Sorrow, Joseph Hanley and Joshua Hanley recently
enjoyed “Toddler Time” at the Harold S. Swindle Public Library
in Nicholson. Students Emily Cown and Marley Pullian from
Deanna Bowen’s early childhood education class at East
Jackson Comprehensive High School read stories to the chil
dren. They also played educational games they had created in
Bowen’s class.
AA Chapter Meets 5 Times Weekly
The Breezy Knob chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous meets five times
a week at 69 Central Avenue (across from First Commerce Bank) in
Commerce.
Meeting times are at 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and
Saturdays and at 6:45 p.m. Sundays. Meetings consist of open discus
sion.

Darren Davis Are United
Sandra Teresa Watkins and Dar
ren Keith Davis were united in
marriage Friday, Feb. 15,2008.
The bride is the daughter of Jo-
sette and Johnny Herrington, and
the groom is the son of the late An
nette R. Davis and the late Charlie
Bart Davis.
Jennie Elliott, Jacksonville, FL,
and Chris Watkins, Maysville, are
the daughters of the bride.
Bryan and Joshua Davis are the
sons of the groom.
Following a honeymoon in
Helen, the couple resides in Com
merce.
Food Bank Hours Are Announced
The hours of operation of the Banks-Jackson Emergency Food Bank,
located at 111 Atlanta Avenue, Commerce, are from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30
p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The food bank provides one-time emergency food supplies for indi
viduals and families referred by churches or social service groups.
Legal Services Available To Elderly Poor
Free legal services are available to senior citizens and low-income cli
ents in the area.
Services are based on case type and financial eligibility. Georgia Legal
Service Program does not handle criminal cases.

The J.E.B. Stuart Chapter No. 861, United Daughters of the
Confederacy, recently provided gifts for the veterans residing
at BJC Nursing Facility in Commerce. Chapter member Janice

Dr. Gary Ostroff of Worcester,
MA, and Dr. Barbara Tate, Brook
lyn, CT, announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Rachel
Leah Ostroff of Sharon, MA, to
Louis (Lou) R. Skelton III, son of
Louis and Patti Reeves Skelton of
Winder.
The couple plans their evening
wedding for Sunday, May 25, at
the Belle Meade Plantation in
Nashville, TN. Invitations will be
sent.
The bride is the granddaughter
of Barbara Tate, Dover, PA, and
the late John Tate; and Millie and
Jerry Ostroff, Elkins Park, PA
Miss Ostroff was an honor
graduate from the University of
Massachusetts at Amherst, which
included studies at the University
of Hawaii. She attends Vanderbilt
University in Nashville, TN, pur
suing a PhD in neurobiological
research.
The groom is the grandson of
the late Harold and Syble Reeves,
formerly of Winder; and Radford
and Alice Skelton, Braselton.
Mr. Skelton graduated from
Winder-Barrow High School and
is a graduate of Wayland Baptist
University with a bachelor of sci
ence degree in criminal justice.
He is a staff sergeant and Raven
with the U.S. Air Force, 118th Se
curity Forces Squadron, in Nash
ville, TN, recently returned from
Kirkuk, Iraq, with prior service in
Korea and Hawaii.
UDC Presents Books
The J.E.B. Stuart Chapter No. 861, United Daughters of the
Confederacy, recently donated books to the Commerce Public
Library. Chapter member Susie Davis, left, presents two books
honoring Black History Month to Teresa Marshall, staff member,
at the library.
