be held August 10
Silver Shoals Baptist Church,
Banks County, will host its 2008
summer revival Sunday, August
10, at 6 p.m. and Monday through
Friday, August 11 - 15, at 7 p.m.

The guest speaker will be Garry
Garrison.
Special singers will perform every
night.

Community Chapel Church will
host a gospel singing and supper
Saturday, August 2, at 6 p.m.
Several music groups will per
form.
A cake auction will be held and
the “Sons of Thunder” motorcycle
group will be selling hotdogs and $6
chicken plates.
All proceeds will go to Brian
Plavcan, to help cover costs associ
ated with his Lou Gehrig’s disease.

sor a back-to-school bean supper
Tuesday, August 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.
in the fellowship hall.
A variety of bean dishes with
trimmings will be served along with
homemade ice cream for dessert.
Eat-in or take-out orders will be
available at $5 per plate.
Money from the supper will go
towards club projects.

set at Grove Level
Grove Level Baptist Church,
Maysville, will hold soccer registra
tion Saturday, Aug. 2 and Saturday
Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the
recreation building. The age groups
are: 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12.

host fundraiser
Enon Baptist Church, Alto, will
host a fundraiser “Bazaar” Saturday,
August 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Booths will be set up with various
items for sale. There will also be
food items, games, entertainment,
a giant slide, face painting, tattoos,
a bake sale and tickets for a hand
made afghan.
The money raised will go towards
the church building fund.

Jackson County Commissioners
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Jackson County Commissioners will be
hosting a public forum to provide education and
discussion on 2008 proposed Constitutional
Amendments. The proposed amendments
include Infrastructure Development Districts
(IDDs), Tax Allocation Districts (TADs) and the
Georgia Forestland Protection Act.
This public forum will be held in the Jury
Assembly Room of the Jackson County
Courthouse on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and will be open to
anyone interested in gaining a comprehensive
understanding of how these proposed
amendments can be of benefit to the community.
