Letter From Mr. Culp.
Dear Chronicj.e: —Thirty-seven
years since, tbe Ist of January 1889,
1 moved from Jackson county Ga.,
with my wife and seven children.
For about seve? years I bad given
them a scant support, with a salary
of one hundred and fifty dollar*.
Through tbe inlerpoaition of a kind
old friend, Robert White, who still
survives, 1 got a position at ibe
Georgia factory, at a salary of two
hundred and seventy five dollars,
out of which, I saved one hundred
and thirty dollars. I was then
thirty-nine years old, and 1 had
never saved a dollar before. God
blessed me, and enabled me to sup
port my family, and lay up some
i iking for a rainy day. 1 will aay

‘ will further say, that be ia a good

Tnonia, carditis, typhoid fever, etc.; and if
it ia true that the soul of the Caucasian is
1 cated in bis great sympathetic, and his
moral nature there developed, where could
there be a more decided element of dis*
parity of rac ? Tbe very senses and their
organs are different, being more highly de
veloped in tbe colored race than in the
white. This distinction of race comes
to us most strikingly in the aggravation of
the types of all our diseases when two'or
three dissimilar races are living in close
proximity.
Messrs. Editors, I must stop, although
tbe fourth ha* not been told that could be
on this subject—while I have given
largely of tbe views of other physicians,
these »re also my views, and if Dr. Tai -
