Need some help losing a few
pounds? Well, a Weight Watchers
program is now available in Madison
County.
The weight-loss group will hold
its first meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday,
March 19, in the fellowship hall of
the Comer Baptist Church at 2054
MainStreet, Comer.
Instructor Karen Hedgelon will
lead the class. Hedgelon joined
Weight Watchers in 2002 and
achieved her goal of losing 22 lbs.
“Every single pound lost is
important, whether it’s five or 100,"
said Hedgelon.
Hedgelon says the meetings will
include a weigh-in, instruction on
how to count points, tips on weight
loss and motivational information.
She said she believes this is the first
Weight Watchers program ever in
Madison County.
“We welcome everyone," she
said.
There are senior citizen discounts
and participants can pay by the
month or per meeting.

be on stage with Grammy-winning
Nashville songwriter, Hillary Lindsey
when she performs Saturday, March

Founded in 1981 as a promotional

Sugarland.
Faithful to her 4-H roots, the
small-town girl from Washington,
contributed three songs to last
year’s Clover Country album—a
joint venture between National 4-H
Council and EMI Music. Among
the many popular hits written or
co-written by Hillary Lindsey are
“Jesus Take the Wheel," "So Small”
and “Just a Dream"— each recorded
by Carrie Underwood.
Artists such as Faith Hill, Tim
McGraw, Jason Aldean, Hillary
Duff, and Martina McBride have
also cut Lindsey’s songs.
