•The tag receipt from the most
recent tag purchased for the car. (A
photo copy or renewal form can not
be used; however, a copy can be ob
tained form the Department of Mo
tor Vehicles for 50 cents);
•If the car is a 1982 or newer
model, a completed odometer
statement which will be sent to the
donor by the Kidney Foundation;
•A signed bill of sale; and
•If the car is 1981 or newer, the'
title which has been signed over to
the National Kidney Foundation of
Georgia. The Foundation will sup
ply a form for this, also.
The cars that are donated need
not run and can be deducted from
the contributor’s taxes. After the
cars are sold, each donor receives a
“Deed of Gift” from the National
Kidney Foundation of Georgia as
well as a receipt from the actual
auction.
“Each time I make a talk to a lo
cal civic club I share with them my
concern about people in some of
our neighborhoods who do little to
keep their yards free of trash, litter,

to fish," said Michael A. Froehlich,
executive director. "The Agricenter
encourages groups and clubs to
expose children to the joys of
fishing. The object is to teach
children how to fish, to respect
sound conservation practices and to
enjoy a wholesome pastime of one
of the state's many natural
resources," Froehlich added.
Sponsors are to follow these
guidelines: supervise and assist
their group, provide all fishing gear
and bait, and provide snacks and
lunch. Restroom facilities and
picnic tables are located near the
lake.
Fishing is limited to any three
hour period during the hours of 8
a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through
Saturday during June. Please

Wayne Shackelford has announced
authorization of a contract for
Houston County to cover the
following work:
Base and paving of parking areas
at City Hall and Perry-Houston
County Library in Perry.
This project has been authorized
for funding under the GA DOT City
Contract Program, and will begin
as soon as the contract has been
duly executed and a work order
issued.
