keys in the ignition and both were
recovered shortly after the thefts and
not far from where they were
stolen.
Although police said that noth
ing was stolen from either vehicle,
both vehicles were processed and
dusted for fingerprints connecting
the suspect with the incidents.
Police again remind people to
lock their cars and remove any
valuables when leaving their cars
unattended.
In addition to last week’s two car
thefts, there were 22 reports of car
break-ins during the months of
April and May alone, ten times the
number from the same period last
year.

flight training or maintenance.
Dent Aviation has expressed an
interest in the airport; and, Register
Aviation has not ruled out making
a bid for FBO services at the air
port.
"We need to have more than one
candidate (for the FBO)," said Wor
rall,
Leon Huffman, ex-officio mem
ber of the authority, said that find
ing someone to provide flight train
ing and fuel services would be fairly
easy. "The hardest thing to find is
good maintenance," he said.
Dorsett also indicated that the
authority would be getting tougher
with contractors who leased two
other hangers at the airport. "We
have been negligent in enforcing
the other contracts just as we are
negligent in enforcing the contract
with the FBO.”
The airport is still without a
new name, with the Houston
County Commission turning down
the suggestion of Perry Executive
Airport. Dorsett suggested the air
port be named Sam Nunn Airport.
However, no decision was made on
the name of the airport.
