Mr. and Mrs. Jonathon Richards
Richards, Shepley
united in beautiful
June 25 ceremony
The sanctuary of the First Baptist
Church in Perry formed the setting
on Saturday evenmg, June 25,
1994, at 7 p.m. for the marriage of
Miss Jill Shepley and Mr. Jonathon
Richards.
Miss Shepley is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Shepley of
Perry. Mr. Richards’ parents are
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Richards of
Naples, Florida.
The Reverend Him Shipley of
Perry and the Reverend Parker
Agnew of New Albany, Miss.,
performed the double ring ceremony
in the presence of relatives and
friends. The wedding music was
presented by Mrs. Deborah Walker,
pianist; Mrs. Mary Hamilton,
organist; Mrs. Karan Johnson,
floutist; and Mr. Rick Searle on
the trumpet. Miss Heather Caines
sang “How Beautiful” and “The
Wedding Song”. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff
Candell sang “Household of Faith”.
The programs were given out by
Adam Gray, Seth Gamblin and
Brett Gamblin. The candles were
lighted by Mr. Tracy Malone.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a candlelight gown
of silk shantung. The bridal
bouquet was a cascade of
Casablanca lilies, stephanotis, and
ivy.
The attendants wore floor length
suits of purple silk shantung. They
carried sheaths of purple Dutch Iris
and yellow lilies. Miss Julie Bell,
of Saint Louis. Missouri, was the
Maid of Honor. The bridesmaids
were Jenny Bragdon, Greenville,
S.C.; Headier Caines of Ringgold,
'King and Queen' pageant set for Oct. 15
An Autumn Queen and King
Pageant will be held on Saturday,
Oct. 15th at the Holiday Inn, 700
Valley Drive in Perry.
The pageant will offer teen age
divisions, Girls, birth and up, or
Boys, birth to seven years.
The pageant is open to all
Georgia residents and winners may
go on to represent their title at the
Americas United Miss and Master
National Finals.

brother of the bride, of Perry.
Immediately following the
ceremony the bride’s parents
entertained at a reception in the
fellowship hall of the church. The
guests were greeted by Mr. and
Mrs. Steve Gray and Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Smith, 111. Miss Chalese
Lassiter of Perry attended the bride’s
book. Those serving at the
reception were: Angie Bennett,
Alii Campbell, Cathy Clay,
Jennifer Davis, Angela Goodwin,
Linda Johnson, Mary Lassiter, Sara
Muse, Kimberly Peterson, Lindsey
Shepley, Loryne Shepley, Mary
Anne Shipley, and Anne Smith.
A rehearsal picnic was hosted by
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Richards of
Naples, Fla.
After the wedding trip to Prince
Edward Island in Nova Scotia, the
couple will reside in Lookout
Mountain, Ga.

local title, crown, trophy and
banner. Americas United Miss and
Master Pageant offers many awards
to Uieir national winners, including
scholarship prizes...

unite Oct. 15 at local

Jennifer Carol Allen of Perry and
Steve Hattaway Langston Jr.
“Chuck”, of Henderson, have
announced their plans to be married
on Saturday, October 15, 1994 in
the Perry Church of God at 2:30
p.m.
The bride-elect is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Leon A. Allen of
Perry and is the granddaughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lamb Sr. of
Perry and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Allen
of Florida. She is attending
Georgia Southwestern College

The Westfield, Beechwood,
Baker Alumni Council honored
three area alumni for their
outstanding support at the first
annual Alumni Weekend held at
Westfield Schools recently.
Chosen for their outstanding
support for Westfield, their
accomplishments in the community
and a lifestyle that is consistent
with the philosophy and objectives
of the school, the 1994 recipients
were Glynelle Ellis Beeland, a
1978 graduate of W'estfield Schools,

William Edward Gilbert was bom
on Friday, September 16, 1994 to
Maria McMaster Gilbert and Harvey
Gilbert of Perry. Maternal
grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W.H.
McMaster of Stone Mountain, Ga.
Paternal grandparents are Mr. and
Mrs. R.W. Gilbert of Elko.
Samantha Gayle Strickland
Samantha Gayle Strickland was
bom on Sunday, Sept. 18, 1994 to
Jody Tyson Strickland and Edmond
T. Strickland of Perry. Maternal
grandparents are Willie and Barbara
Tyson of Perry. Paternal
grandmother is Gayle Strickland of
Ocala, Fla.
Orrin Leon Conrow
Orrin Leon Conrow was born on
Tuesday, Sept. 20. 1994 to Tonya
Hampton and Greg Conrow of
Montezuma. Maternal grandparents
are Don and Beth Hampton of
Montezuma. Paternal grandparents
are Edna and Ed Martinez of Atlanta
and Ron and Ellen Conrow of
California.
