Joseph P. and Shirley H. Mann
of Perry celebrated their 40th
Wedding Anniversary November 4,
1994.
Their son, Joe arranged the
celebration with about 60-80 people
from the Middle Georgia area
attending.
They have one son, his wife,
one grandson, and one
granddaughter.
On Saturday, November 5, the
family, friends, and out of town
guests met at Memorial Heights
Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
The Fellowship Hall was decorated
with large ferns and green plants
accented with red and blue tapestry
bows. The food tables were
accented with "bird house"
Edler will become the bride
of James at Jan. 7 wedding
Mr and Mrs. Hugh James Elder
announce the engagement of their
daughter Tina Marie Edler of
Augusta, Ga., to Kevin Michael
James of Richmond. Virginia, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Jim James of
North Bend. Oregon. The wedding
is planned for January 7. 1995 at
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in
Macon.
The bride-elect is the
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Quirino Maini, Mr. John Edler. and
the late Rose Spaulding Edler. A
graduate of Trenton High School in
Trenton. Fla., she received a
bachelor's degree in biology and

Sandy Johnson of Perry, a senior
at Georgia Southern, is president of
Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Johnson, an early childhood
education major, received the
sorority’s best pledge award her
sophomore year. During the 1993-
94 school year she was the Kappa
Kappa Gamma philanthropy
chairman, and she was the assistant
coordinator for the Bulloch County

Joe, their son, a graduate of
Valdosta State College, is
employed with the City of Perry as
the Code Enforcement
Office/Building Inspector. In his
spare time he aids his wife Joyce in
her home jewelry business. Thy
have one daughter, Joanna and one
son, Jefferson.
The honorees, Joseph and
Shirley, were married November 4.
1954. by Shirley's father Rev. Tom
Hannon at his home.

December, and will enter a Family

Johnson is also a member of the
Omega Honor Society and PAGE, a
student teaching organization.

Johnson is the daughter of Ms.
Linda Johnson and plans to return
to Perry and teach after graduation.
Lacefield and Bozeman to marry
Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Lacefield
announce the engagement of their
daughter Velesa Renee Lacefield of
Perry, to Anthony Todd Bozeman
of Perry, son of Mrs. Marie
Bozeman and the late Paul Bozeman
of Perry.
The wedding is planned for
December 10, 1994, at the
Plantation on King's Chapel Road
in Perry.
The bride-elect is the
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Grant B. Heller of Perry, and the
late Mr. and Mrs. John A.
Lacefield. She is a graduate of
Perry High School and attended
Valdosta State College for one year.
Currently she works at Tolleson
Lumber Company's main office.
The groom-elect is the grandson
of Mrs. Lullian Marshall and the
late John Marshall, Mrs. Bozeman
of Hayneville and the late Mr.
Bozeman. He is a graduate of Perry
High School and is currently
working for Tolleson Supply
Company.
