call for assistance.
My mother said yes, so they
called AAA for someone to come
repair their car. My mother
offered for them to stay while
they waited. They said that
they would stay and wait in the
yard. The boys were playing in
the driveway. My dad had been
trying to catch a beaver that was
destroying his ponds. If you’re
from the country you know that
beavers will wreak havoc on a
pond. He had finally “extermi
nated” the beaver and brought
him to the house for the boys to

Over 650 Houston County Girl Scouts and
moms showed up in pajamas last Saturday for
the 2007 Popcorn and PJ party at the Georgia
National Fairground. They brought their sleep
ing bags and stuffed toys, and gobbled up 660
bags of popcorn while watching movies and a
pajama fashion show together.
Many moms and daughters wore matching
pajamas.
Jincy Payne, Field Executive for the Girl
Scouts said it was the largest crowd in years.
Daisies, Brownies and Senior Scouts were all
involved.

This year is the 75th anni
versary of the Southeastern
Conference. In early 1933,
the presidents of 13 southern
schools assembled to form the
conference for athletic participa
tion. Three years later in 1936,
the Associated Press began its
weekly ranking of the Top 25
college football teams. Over
the years, there have been 936
weekly rankings. Which SEC
team has been ranked in the
Top 25 the most times, and
approximately how many times
did it make the weekly poll?

The boys were taking turns
riding a pedal driven plastic trac
tor with a wagon attached to
the back. They thought it was
great fun to put the beaver in
the wagon and pull it around in
circles until the beaver slung off.
When that happened they would
pick up the beaver and place him
back into the wagon.
The beaver was almost as big
as they were so it was quite comi
cal to see them lug this beaver
around and then put it back in
the wagon for another round.
