W. K. II ao AN, Troy, N. Y ~—Dear Sir: Having
used your Hair Coloring or Restorative, and being
much pleaaed with it, 1 take pleasure in making
tho following statement: From tho effects of a
very severe fit of sickness, when about IK 3 ears of
age, my hair commenced turning grey, aud so
continued to grow until it became perfectly white,
being very harsh And coarse. Lust summer I had
reached my fifty-third year, when I was induced
by a friend to purchase two hottleaot Hoimstreet's
llair Restorative, prepared by you. i commenced
using it according to directions, and in a few days
was surprised to find that my hair from tho roots
outward was turning back to its original color.
It so continued to grow until it wus as truly
browu and glossy as it was in my youthful days,
and is now fully restored to its original color.
MY LA SEAMAN.
Essex County, ss.—Myla Seaman canto before
me and was duly sworn, and saya that tho above
statement is true, this 6th day of February, 1858.
JOEL F. POTTER, Justice of the Peace.
Pitthpord, Vt., August 1, 1867.
1 hereby certify that my hair having become
quite grey, I used Ileiinstreots Hair Restorative
(prepared by W. E. Hagan, Troy, N. Y.,) for four
weeks, and my hair was in that time restored to
its original color. I cun fully recommend tho ar
tide to bo all it claims.
WILLIAM KINGSLEY,
Pastor of the Baptist Church, IMttsford, Vt.
Mr. W. K.llaoan: 1 have used Ilelmstreot’s Hair
Restorative for three years, aud find it to tma most
excellent article. It not only restored the color < f
my hair, giving it new life aud strength, but it
cured myself and wife of a most obstinate eruption
upon the scalp, which nothing else seemed to benefit.
1 fully believe it to bo tho test article iu use.
Yours, respectfully.
KNOWLTON HOWLAND.
The above are but a few of the many letters of
recommeudatlou which have been louden and to the
proprietors of Hoimstreet’s llair Coloring or Re
storative. It has been used by thousands of peo
ple, arid it never fails to restore the color and
growth of the hair. This singular effect is not
produced as alien dyes are used ; for its acts upon
the natural secretions of coloring matter at the
roots, aud thus effects tho change. The color pro
duced is met a counterfeit, but the natural shade, of
youth. It does not color tho akiu.

Col. Howe has set on foot anew move
ment iu relation to the building of this
road, which we aro disposed to think very
fuvorubly of, and which we loarn is taking
well with our citizens, and if successful
will put the enterprise beyond the possi
bility of a doubt. The project is tbe sub
scribing of bauds to work on tbe road,
commencing at Opelika und continuing
until the roud is graded to Youngville,
seventeen miles west of this place. The
hands to be placed under the direction of
tho President und Directors, who aro to
furnish every thing necessary for tho
prosecution of the work, except clothing,
and tbe amount earned by said bunds,
utter deducting necessary expenses, to
bo allowed to the subscribers in stock at
the end of each year in proportion to
the hands furnished. This project is en
tirely outside‘of the stock already sub
scribed, und will not interfere with any
one v,ho may desiro to grade out bis
stock. Col. Slaughter feels confident thut
there will be, at least, two hundred hands
subscribed, und we also learn that tbo
Company will commence operations with
one hundred. This project is similur to
buying negroes to do tho grading, and
will doubtless work equally as well, and
will, if successful, insure the building to
Youngville, after which the road would,
in irshort time, carry itself through.
Hut we tire confident that by the time
the roud would be tlius graded to that
point, those engaged iu it would find it
so profitable that they would continue
their operations until the grading was
completed. Many of our citizens who
have already subscribed Block, are sub
scribing from one to three hands.— Tulla
