aie milling, and also supposed to be killed, as we have
region to think the Indians made no prisoners.—-All the
oxen are killed, but no horses, that we know, the enemy
having carried them all away.**
Newport, 03. 6. His Maje Hy’s Hoop Fortune, of 20
guns, commanded by Capt. Bilhop, arrived at Bolton Jaft
Sunday, in ton weeks from England. We hear llie is lla
fijued there for three years.
Another man of war is hourly expefted at Bolton, having
failed for that place before the Fortune. *
Churlefown , 03. 12. Thui fday lalt the transports with
the troops under the command of Major Forbes of his Ma
jelly’s 35th regiment, failed for Pensacola.
03. 19. On Thursday lalt his Majesty’s Hoop of war the
Speedwell, commanded by Robert Fanlhaw, Esq; ap
pointed for this Ration, arrived here from England. There
are now five men of war in this harbour, viz. Mercury,
SucceL, Tryal, Bonetta and Speedwell.
Hi Majesty’; ‘hip Hornet, Capt. Morgan, appointed for
the North-Carolina Ration, is arrived at Cape-Fear.

SAVANNAH, November 3.
BY an express which arrived yeßerday from Augufia,
which place he* left on Saturday Jalt, we learn, that
his Excellency ouij Governor, with his attendants, arrived
there on Tuesday morning the 25th ult. the other Gover
nors were cxpe&ed the day the express came away, and it
*was thought they would proceed to business as on Monday.
About 200 Cherokees, together with the Chickcfaws, Ca
tawbas, two Choflaws, and 60 of the Upper and Lower
Creeks, had been there fome days, and near 100 more of
the latter were daily looked for. A good understanding
fubfids between the Cherokees and Chickcfaws, but the
Creeks and Cherokees seem not to be upon the best of terms.
We hear, that, on the 14th of September, the magazine
at Fort Augufia in Jamaica, wherein was between 2 and 3000
barrels of gunpowder, was by fome accident blown up, by
which all the officers and soldiers that were in or near the
fort were killed, the foundation of the building razed, and
confiderable damage done. The Free Malons gave
120 L Jamaica money to the families of the unhappy fuffer
ers.
The Minerva, Barnes, from London, is arrived at
Charlefiown.
The Sea Nymph, Grant, and Charming Polly, Queen,
from London, are daily expected here.

Wells, Benjamin Williamson, Marraadukc Perry, Solomon
Campt, David Huguincn, Christian Rump, John Thomas,
and Evan Lewis, being duly summoned and returned to serve
as jurors at the laid court, made default, whereby they se
verally became liable to a due of four pounds, but the Hon.
Noble Jones , Esq; the senior and preliding judge, was
pleased to mitigate the fame to the sum of forty {hilling*
