Jesse George, of Hiol< man conn*
tv, Tennesie, wa« the fiist mau
in that itate who raised peanut..
Ijn made his first crop before
the war—about 1850. Tho pro
cesses of piloting and plowing
are very different now fron
what they were then, The orop
in. Tenuesee now amounts to
ul ifnit GOO,000 bushels, of which
about two third* are of the white
variety. They are shipped to
Gincinatti, Pittsburg and eastern
cities by the cnr-loa<l. The qual
ity of the Teunesee crop this )ear
is very fine.
A fish-hook in your Gesh, n
scissors blale in your left thumb,
a sprained ankle from a misstep
oa a loose stone, a bruised thin
by a slip from a car platform, a
out on your cheek by a clumsy
barber’s razor, a contusion on
your elbow by posing it tnrough
a street-car window, a swelling oil
your nose from running against
an open door in the dark—these
are likely to happen without a
moment’s notice. To bo ready
for them lnpe a bottler of Porry
Davis’s Pain Killer really.
