Work on the high school building Is
now well under way.
As already stated In The Herald, the
excavations for the. foundations were
completed several days ago, and now
the contractors, Little & Phillips, have
as large a force as they have beon
able to gather at work laying brick.
All the foundation brick are being
laid In cement, and the eharacter of
the building’s construction throughout
will be substantial, and It Is to be
equipped for the comfort-and conven
ience of the teachers and pupils who
are to utilize It.
There seems now to be little doubt
that the building will be completed lo
time for the opening of the fall school
term about the middle of September.
A great deal of work oan be construct
ed by an adiple foroe of carpenters
and masons In five months, especially
where there Is an Incentive for haste.
The city and county school author
ities are watching the progress of the
work with increasing Interest, which,
however, Is hardly greater than that
manifested by all the people of the
community.

We’re Right Here, You Know,
Where you can come andi‘‘have It out”
with us if anything goes wrong with
anything you buy here. That’e why
we’ve got to take palnB to have things
right In the first place—why we’ve
simply got to “square” ourselves with
you on anything that does not prove
just as we Bay. We’ve got to do busi
ness with you and your friends."on the
level*’ or not at all.
If you buy a “mall order” buggy or
harness and It disappoints you, you
may get satisfaction, and you may not.
You’re only one of thousands of cus
tomers, and the mall order concern
doesn’t depend upon the trade of tills
town or vicinity. It you do gee satis
faction it will be at a cost In time and
correspondence that will eat up all the
savings. .
By all mean's buy where you can buy
to the best advantage, but keep your
money In your clothes, til! you’ve
talked with us; then If we can’t show
you why and how it Is better to spend
your harness and vehicle money right
here we won’t say anothor word.
