HARTSFIELD HOME
BURNED TOTHEGROUN.
Yesterday afternoon the home of Mr.
J. J. Hartsfleld on Oarrol Hill was
burned to tho ground. The flames
originated from a defective flue. The
miiy was eating dinner in the kitchen,
and the flames gained each headway
that they barely had time to esoapo
without saving any of their belongings.
The house aud all its contents were de-
stroyed. It is outside the city limits
and the Are department was not called
upon. This is the culmination of a
series of misfortunes that have fallen
upon this family. A few months ago a
fire consumed tho home and the one
burned yesterday had just been rebuilt
and*still lacked a few finishing touches.
