Sioux Falls, S D., Dec. 21. —
Grenal excitement was caused in
this city to-day by the fact becom

■ 11. Stiles, a prominent druggist of
this city, owns a half interest in it.
Work has been going on ever

ed a great; mount of attention.
The tooth is eleven and ons-qvav

and eleven inches deep, but the
, roots ;r i broken off and not full
length. The skeleton of the mam
moth is over eighty feet long
and eighteen feet wide and has
two tusks which Mr. Stiles says
will weigh about But) pounds. Thev j

another month to get it all out.
The owners of the mam noth will
place no value on their find, but
say it is worth several thousand
dollar. This is the second one found
here. The other was discovered with
in three blocks of the business
1 part of the city in 1891 but it was
I not a quarter as large as this.
