Whiplash is among
most common neck
injury seen in clinic
Whiplash neck injuries are
among the most common condition
treated in a Chiropractic clinic.
Whiplash is defined as an injury to
the cervical spine caused by an
abrupt jerking motion to the head.
Due to increased congestion on
highways, power brakes and more
powerful engines injuries of this
type are much more frequent today.
To fully understand what
happens in this type of neck injury,
it might be helpful to understand
the mechanics of the neck. The
neck is comprised of seven small
bones known as the cervical spine.

closely any possible similarities be

Of the cases reported in the past
three months, Heaton also said that
the majority of the victimized
vehicles have been unlocked at the
time of the break-in, but that the
times and places at which the
crimes have occurred have been

has been no determination about the
impact of the merger at specific
plants, such as the Perry plant
"It is too early to give a gauge
on how (the merger) will impact an
area, or how it is going to take
place,” said Graywitt.
Graywitt said officials at

The neck provides full support to
the head which has an average of
fourteen pounds.
The bones of the neck are
arranged in a curvature that must be
maintained to allow a clear channel
for the passage of the spinal cord,
which travel through the center of
these bones. Along with the spinal
cord are nerves which exit the cord
in between these small bones.
When a person receives a
whiplash injury the bones in the
neck move out of the normal
position and restrict the nerves and
blood vessels. This can result in
sporadic.
“They’re happening both day and
night and in both residential and
commercial districts,” Heaton said.
In addition to talking to the

was recently sent out to all area

by Perry Police Officer Bill Hath

It is important to note that
virtually every person involved in a
moving vehicle accident will suffer
whiplash to some degree. At a

Grumman is well positioned as a
leader in this segment.

Kresa told shareholders that
Northrop Grumman had a goal to

Students have shown exceptional
academic promise by placing
among the top five percent of more
than one million program entrants;
however, their qualifying test scores
are slightly below the level required
to continue in the competition for

An NMSC spokesperson states,
"Being designated a Commended

a credit to these young people as
well as to their schools, which play
a key role in their development.
We hope that the recognition these
scholastically able students receive
will encourage them to develop
their talents and abilities to the
fullest.
